False Maturity

In Stage 5 you are can regularly relax and enjoy life because you do not have to trade time for money…allowing you to go on vacation and make money while you’re not around. Congratulations! In our view only 5% of businesses get here.

In Stage 6 Significance, you move beyond having time and money to USING both of them to do something special with your business (or outside your business), with your family or with others, perhaps building a non-profit or sponsoring kids out of poverty, for example.  You are intentionally using your time and money to do something of significance in the world around you. The best benefits of owning your business really kick in!

Does Stage 6 Significance sound like the place you’d like to live? Take the time to write down your Lifetime Goals (things you can never check off) and your Ideal Situation to living them out. Get serious about when you want to be there (your “Business Maturity Date”), and take the time to develop a simple Business Strategy to get you there.
